SME Corporation in Asia

Challenge

From 2014 to 2016, Oxford Oracle has worked seamlessly with other specialists to fast-track selected Asian producers of light-emitting diode (LED) lighting towards world-class competitiveness.

The Oracle's Solution

Tackling essential challenges, such as company profile and branding, product certification and marketing, Oxford Oracle engaged with seven carefully selected companies to create tailor-made internationalisation strategies. Oxford Oracle and a major national training fund and sponsorship organization, supported by lighting technology specialists a national Southeast Asian technology support organization, worked closely with the client and seven LED lighting producers to bridge the gap between their current performance and the target of being internationally competitive. The project met its two-key metrics for 2015: 1) total sales of $20 million USD were achieved (against a target of $18 million USD); and 2) 26 LED products were certified for sale overseas (against a target of 20) with over 100 more due to be certified during 2016. The companies awareness of and connections with the global marketplace flourished, and at the end of the programme, discussions were underway with potential partners and clients overseas. Alternative In a two-year project for the Asian government, Oxford Oracle worked seamlessly with other specialists to fast-track selected Asian producers of light-emitting diode (LED) lighting towards world-class competitiveness. Tackling essential challenges, such as company profile and branding, product certification and marketing, Oxford Oracle engaged with seven carefully selected companies to create tailor-made internationalisation strategies.
