From September to November 2015 Oxford Oracle provided consulting services to a leading UK Intellectual Property Consulting & Brokerage Firm to assist in delivering an IP due diligence assessment for an overseas client interested in investing in a European industrial biotechnology company.

Oxford Oracles involvement in the project included a patent and product alignment assessment, technology and market review, and support with a patent environment analysis. For the patent and product alignment assessment, Oxford Oracle investigated the IP position of the company and offered our view on the relevance of the patents scope to the business, the extent to which patents map to current and future products and the level of protection they can offer. For the technology and market review, Oxford Oracle Delivered expert commentary on technical commercial challenges in the industry, the company's position in the value chain and a brief description of the major players. Oxford Oracle also provided a high-level view of the key patent holders and filing trends in the relevant technology space for patent landscaping support.

The investor intended to use the outcomes and findings of the due diligence assessment as part of its investment decision-making process.
