PROJECT 93 OF 188

Challenge

Oxford Oracle engaged in a multi-year programme to support the international commercialisation of technologies from within a prominent Eurasian research region, in partnership with an international innovation consortium. Supported by a national nanotechnology investment company and the regional government, the initiative comprised entrepreneurship education, commercial capacity building, and targeted venture commercialisation.

The Oracle's Solution

The training curriculum delivered on-site and in intensive workshops covered core themes including: the Oxford model of technology transfer, entrepreneurial venture creation, IP protection, securing early-stage capital, and managing investor relations. Following initial capacity building, Oxford Oracle delivered hands-on mentoring and advisory support to participating ventures, identifying prospective commercial partners and structuring international deals. This involved continuous remote advisory combined with quarterly on-site delegations by Oxford Oracle consultants alongside patent attorneys, technical designers, and business strategists. Over three years, ventures across medical diagnostics, telecommunications, digital media, plasma sterilisation, and therapeutics were systematically supported.

Consequential Impact

The engagement established sustainable international commercialisation channels for regional spin-outs and start-ups. Participating ventures secured strategic commercial partners, obtained international regulatory certifications (such as the European CE mark) for analytical instruments, and established export distribution channels across international markets.
