A Public Research University in South America

Challenge
From 2013 to 2014, Oxford Oracle worked with a public research university (the university) in South America on a wide-ranging capacity building programme to develop the knowledge and skills for successful technology transfer as well as to drive selected research towards commercialisation.
The Oracle's Solution
Oxford Oracle provided tailored training on technology and knowledge transfer to the university academics, researchers and senior staff. The university research project portfolio was evaluated, selecting two projects for further commercialisation plans and approaches to industry contacts to achieve commercial deals. During 2013 and 2014, Oxford Oracle worked with a public research university (the university) in South America on a wide-ranging capacity-building programme to develop the knowledge and skills for successful technology transfer at the university, and to drive selected research towards commercialisation. The programme saw Oxford Oracle provide tailored training on technology and knowledge transfer to the university academics, researchers and senior staff in South America. Oxford Oracle also worked with the university to evaluate its research project portfolio, selecting two projects for further assessment and commercialisation. Oxford Oracle produced commercialisation plans for both projects, followed by development of marketing materials and approaches to industry contacts to achieve commercial deals. The university is now strongly positioned to capitalise on its pipeline of quality research and realise the benefits of commercialising its intellectual property.
