Challenge

Oxford Oracle was engaged in a comprehensive programme of support for a national technical university in Europe. As part of the technology transfer advisory package, Oxford Oracle hosted senior technology transfer managers for intensive secondments, delivering practical training alongside the opportunity to work directly on active commercialisation projects. Senior Oxford Oracle staff also provided direct input into the business plan for the university's technology transfer office and the operational design of an emerging science park.

The Oracle's Solution

Oxford Oracle carried out an initial assessment of the university's technology transfer operations and industry partnerships, establishing the empirical baseline for the support programme. Benchmarking the university's IP policy, staff capabilities, and industry engagement frameworks helped the institution gain a deeper appreciation of its institutional strengths and commercial opportunities. Oxford Oracle then delivered tailored recommendations to advance technology and knowledge transfer operations, accompanied by sustained advisory mentoring on invention disclosures, deal structuring, and science park development.

Consequential Impact

The intervention established a clear commercialisation roadmap, modernized institutional innovation management capabilities, and enabled long-term industry partnerships for the university.
