A National Innovation Agency and an Agricultural Innovation Foundation in South America

Challenge
The objective for this programme was to allow a national innovation agency and an agricultural innovation foundation to collaborate on a Newton-Picarte Funded activity to support the development of innovative entrepreneurship in young leaders, in response to requirements and opportunities of the South American horticulture, agriculture and forestry sectors. This second running of the programme built upon the success of the first programme that ran from 2013 to 2014, although this time the programme supported twice the number of young innovators. The institution sought to optimize its tech transfer governance and accelerate high-impact commercial outcomes.
The Oracle's Solution
The programme was structured into four stages, running from October 2014 to December 2014: Stage 1: Selection of up to 50 Young Innovators to take part in the programme, Stage 2: Two-week workshop in South America (October 2014), Stage 3: One-week visit to the UK (December 2014) and Stage 4: Remote support and mentoring Oxford Oracle delivered specialized advisory, IP valuation, and commercialisation roadmapping.
Consequential Impact
This engagement established a scalable framework driving long-term institutional growth.
