A National Economic Development Agency in South America and Eight South American Universities

Oxford Oracle completed a programme funded by the national economic development agency in South America to strengthen the technology transfer and innovation management capabilities of eight South American universities.

Oxford Oracle delivered a modular training series, covering knowledge exploitation, technology transfer, and commercialisation management to staff across eight prominent South American universities spanning the public, private, and regional sectors. The programme consisted of five specialized one-week training courses delivered in 2014-2015: 1. Advanced training in international licensing and spin-out creation 2. Patent landscaping, technology valuation, and global marketing 3. Technology and knowledge transfer overview and integration with research services 4. Tech transfer training for senior university decision-makers 5. Idea capture, early-stage project evaluation, and management of researchers

As a result, technology transfer and innovation management capabilities across the participating institutions were greatly strengthened, establishing robust commercialisation pathways to contribute to the economic growth of the region.
