PROJECT 128 OF 188

Challenge

Oxford Oracle reviewed the patent portfolio for the medical research charity, a UK charity that funds the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology. The trust held over 100 granted patents from world-leading scientists including the team that developed Infliximab, the first anti-TNF therapy. Annual maintenance costs for the portfolio were considerable, as were the skills required to successfully commercialise the assets. The client encountered complex market positioning and operational challenges in commercialising high-potential intellectual property assets while navigating tight regulatory standards and evolving international competition.

The Oracle's Solution

The project involved a detailed analysis of each patent family to assess commercial potential. Oxford Oracle deployed a multidisciplinary advisory team to execute comprehensive technical due diligence, design bespoke commercialisation roadmaps, and establish standardized stage-gate evaluation metrics.
